Last updated: 14 May 2026 · Effective: 14 May 2026 (revised for Public Library)
Welcome to EasyPatt. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you ("you") and the operator of EasyPatt (defined below). They govern your access to and use of the EasyPatt website, web application, and any related services we provide (together, the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
EasyPatt is operated by Pavol Vernarec, a sole trader (OSVČ) established in the Czech Republic (the "Operator", "we", "us", "our").
The email address above is the primary point of contact for all matters relating to the Service, including notices under these Terms.
EasyPatt is a browser-based pattern-design tool for leather craft. It lets you draw patterns, generate stitch layouts, save and export your work, and (if you sign in) sync that work between your devices.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or paid plans in the future. Where we do, we will tell you clearly before any charge is incurred, and continued use of paid features will require your acceptance of additional commercial terms.
To use the Service you must be able to enter into a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If you are using the Service in the European Union or the European Economic Area, you must be at least 16 years old; in other jurisdictions you must be at least the local age of digital consent. If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" includes both you and that organisation.
You accept these Terms by creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service. If we update these Terms (see §20) your continued use of the Service after the update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
You can use much of the Service without an account. In that case your patterns, templates, and preferences are stored only in your browser (in IndexedDB and local storage) and never reach our servers.
If you choose to sign in, authentication is via a one-time emailed magic link or via Google sign-in. We do not store or have access to your password. Because of this, the security of your email account and (where applicable) your Google account is the security of your EasyPatt account. You are responsible for keeping those credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to use a working email address that you control and to maintain only one account for your personal use. You agree not to impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
You may delete your account at any time from within the Service. On deletion, the data described in our Privacy Policy is permanently removed from our database, subject to any legal retention obligations we may have.
Any patterns, drawings, templates, presets, file names, comments, or
other material that you create, upload, or store using the Service
("Your Content") remain your
property. We claim no ownership over Your Content. You can
export Your Content at any time as .lpat files, PDF, or
(where supported) DXF.
Solely to operate, provide, and improve the Service, you grant the Operator a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (only to our infrastructure providers acting on our behalf, e.g. hosting and email providers) licence to host, store, transmit, reproduce, display, and create backups and technical copies of Your Content as reasonably necessary to:
This licence ends when Your Content is removed from our systems, except for any backups that are deleted in the normal course of our retention cycle. We do not use Your Content to train machine-learning models, and we do not display Your Content to other users, except for content you explicitly choose to publish to the Public Library — see §5.4.
You confirm that you have all rights necessary to create, upload, and store Your Content using the Service and that Your Content does not infringe any third-party right or violate any applicable law.
The Service includes a Public Library where signed-in users may publish shape templates and chisel presets so that other users (including unauthenticated visitors) can browse and import them. Publishing to the Public Library is entirely voluntary and separate from your private cloud sync. Your private patterns, templates, and presets are never published unless you explicitly take the publish action on that specific entry.
When you publish content to the Public Library, you grant every other user a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, copy, modify, adapt, and distribute that content, including for commercial purposes, with or without attribution. You retain ownership of your underlying work, but you cannot revoke the licence granted to users who imported your content while it was published. Unpublishing or deleting a published entry removes it from future discovery; it does not affect copies already imported by other users.
You must only publish content that you have the right to publish. Do not publish patterns, presets, or other material that infringes any third party's intellectual-property rights or that you obtained under a licence that does not permit such redistribution.
We may remove, hide, or refuse to display any Public Library entry at any time, including in response to reports from other users. Where multiple distinct users report the same entry, the entry may be automatically hidden pending review. Repeated violations of these Terms may result in loss of publishing privileges or termination of your account in accordance with §15.
The Service, including its user interface, source code (to the extent not released under an open-source licence), graphics, logos, the name "EasyPatt", and the underlying technology, is owned by the Operator or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted in these Terms, no rights in or to the Service are transferred to you. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer (except to the extent permitted by mandatory law), decompile, or create derivative works of the Service, nor remove any proprietary notices it contains.
You agree not to:
We may investigate and take appropriate action against any conduct that breaches these Terms, including removing offending content, suspending access, or terminating accounts as described in §15.
The Service relies on third-party providers to function, including (currently) Supabase for database and authentication, Resend for transactional email, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Google as an optional sign-in provider. Your use of those providers' user- facing surfaces (for example, Google's sign-in screen) is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers except to the extent required by applicable law.
Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, response time, or storage capacity. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features at any time, including to fix bugs, address security issues, comply with law, or improve the product. Where a change materially reduces the functionality of the Service for signed-in users, we will use reasonable efforts to give advance notice and a way to export Your Content before the change takes effect.
Some features may be labelled as "beta", "preview", "experimental", or similar. Beta features are provided without any warranty whatever, may change or be withdrawn at any time, and may produce incorrect results. Do not rely on them for production work without independently verifying the output.
If you send us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, sublicensable licence to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the Service or any other product, without any obligation to you. You confirm that any feedback you send is not confidential and does not contain anyone else's confidential or proprietary information.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service and all related content, software, and materials are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment.
In particular, and without limiting the foregoing:
.lpat, PDF, DXF, or otherwise) will be compatible
with any specific third-party software, version, or workflow.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, including statutory consumer guarantees.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; (c) gross negligence (hrubá nedbalost) or wilful misconduct (úmysl) where Czech law does not permit its exclusion; or (d) any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, your mandatory statutory rights are not affected by anything in these Terms.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Operator from and against any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: (a) Your Content; (b) your use of the Service in breach of these Terms or applicable law; or (c) your infringement of any third-party right. We will give you prompt written notice of any such claim and reasonable cooperation in its defence; you may not settle any claim that imposes any obligation on us without our prior written consent. This section does not apply to consumers to the extent it would be incompatible with mandatory consumer-protection law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the application. Termination does not entitle you to any refund, given the Service is free.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if (a) you materially breach these Terms, (b) we are required to do so by law or by a competent authority, (c) your use of the Service creates a security or operational risk for us or other users, or (d) we discontinue the Service in line with §16. Where reasonably practicable and lawful, we will tell you the reason for any suspension or termination and give you an opportunity to remedy the breach.
On termination of your account, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will delete the data described in our Privacy Policy in line with our retention practices. Where we terminate your account other than for a serious breach, we will, on request made within thirty (30) days of termination, use reasonable efforts to provide you with an export of Your Content. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including §§ 5.3, 6, 12, 13, 14, and 18) will survive.
If we decide to discontinue the Service entirely, we will use reasonable efforts to give signed-in users at least thirty (30) days' advance notice by email and an opportunity to export Your Content before the Service is shut down. Anonymous users (no account) keep their data locally in their browser and are not affected by server-side discontinuation.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the European Economic Area, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence apply to you, and nothing in these Terms restricts those rules. In particular, your statutory rights under Czech Act No. 89/2012 Coll. (Civil Code) and Act No. 634/1992 Coll. (Consumer Protection Act), and equivalent rules in your country of residence, are not affected.
Because the Service is supplied to you free of charge and consists of the supply of digital content not on a tangible medium, supplied with your consent and acknowledgement that any statutory right of withdrawal (where it would otherwise apply) is, to the extent provided by law, not exercisable once the Service has been made available to you.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The courts of the Czech Republic have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the EU/EEA Member State in which you are habitually resident, and only those courts (together with the courts of your Member State of habitual residence) may entertain proceedings against you, in accordance with applicable mandatory consumer-protection law (including Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012, "Brussels I bis").
We try to resolve disputes informally first. If you have a concern, please write to support@easypatt.com describing the issue and what outcome you are looking for; we will reply within thirty (30) days.
For consumers resident in the European Union, the European Commission provides an online dispute-resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are not currently obliged to, and do not, participate in alternative-dispute-resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration body; this does not affect your statutory right to bring proceedings in court.
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service, legal requirements, or industry practice. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the changes are material, we will use reasonable efforts to notify signed-in users by email at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect (or sooner where legally required). If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you should stop using the Service and delete your account before the changes take effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms we present for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or, if that is not possible, severed, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of assets, to a party that agrees to be bound by these Terms; we will tell signed-in users by email if that happens.
Neither party is liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, acts of government, internet outages, denial-of-service attacks, power failures, and failures of third-party providers.
You agree that we may give you any notice required under these Terms electronically, including by email to the address associated with your account or by posting it within the Service. Notices to us should be sent to support@easypatt.com.
Nothing in these Terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship between you and us.
These Terms are provided in English. If we make a translation available for convenience and there is any conflict, the English version prevails, unless mandatory law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
Questions, concerns, or notices under these Terms should be sent to support@easypatt.com.
